The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home using a combined gross home earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined house earnings won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the here missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are nsfas 2025 researching or plan to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
